Service Description

Ballet for Kids ages 10+ at A-Ballet School in Budapest offers more focused and intensive classical ballet training for students who want to develop their technique, strength, artistry and confidence. Suitable for children and young dancers with different levels of experience. Training and corrections are adapted to each student’s current ability. WHAT YOUR CHILD GAINS Stronger classical technique, posture, flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, musicality, turns, jumps, stamina, discipline, confidence, artistry and stage presence. IN CLASS Structured ballet training with barre, centre, adagio, pirouettes, allegro, jumps, stretching, conditioning and individual corrections. PBT, ballet gymnastics and other exercises may be included when useful for more effective development. MORE FOCUSED DEVELOPMENT At this age, training becomes more serious and purposeful. Students work not only on learning exercises, but also on understanding technique, correcting weaknesses, improving quality of movement and progressing step by step toward a stronger ballet level. FOR JOY OR FOR MORE Students can continue ballet for personal development, beauty, fitness and performance, or gradually prepare for more serious ballet education, auditions and future professional training. INDIVIDUAL GUIDANCE The teacher works with each student individually within the group, giving personal corrections and helping them understand what they need to improve to progress further. LANGUAGE Classes are taught in English. Fluent English is not required. Ballet is highly visual, and exercises are clearly demonstrated. When possible, the teacher can also give simple help in another language. PERFORMANCES Regular students may have opportunities to take part in A-Ballet School performances when the role suits their level and preparation and participation is approved by the teachers and choreographers. Children participating in school performances are required to pay the Annual School Performance & Costume Fee, paid once per school year. The applicable fee is communicated separately. Students who first join A-Ballet School from 1 February pay 50% of the annual fee. FIRST CLASS Comfortable ballet or training clothes that allow easy movement are enough for the first lesson.
