The letter “A” in our name comes from Aliya, one of our founders, whose name means “Heavenly.” This sense of elevation and purity guides the spirit of our work.
We believe that ballet is more than movement — it is a subtle language that reaches the heart.
Different elements of the art form come together, shaping moments filled with light, warmth, and inner harmony.
A-Ballet was founded by Dmitry Timofeev and Aliya Tanykpayeva, a husband-and-wife team united by their deep connection to ballet and the stage. Aliya’s journey — from the steppes of Kazakhstan to leading theaters around the world — reflects her dedication and passion. Dmitry grew up surrounded by theatre and ballet, discovering early how artistic expression can inspire and uplift.
Together, they created A-Ballet with a simple intention: to share the beauty of ballet and let it bring meaning, clarity, and inspiration into people’s lives.
